Prof. Eugenia Nikolsky, MD, PhD
Specialization: Prof. Nikolsky is an Attending Cardiologist and Director of Clinical Research in Invasive Cardiology.
Education: Prof. Nikolsky received an MD degree from Tver State Medical Academy in Russia and a PhD from the All-Union Cardiologic Scientific Center of the Academy of Medical Sciences in Moscow, Russia.
She completed a fellowship in Cardiology at Rambam Medical Center, and a fellowship in Clinical Research at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation in New York, New York. Her third fellowship was in Invasive Cardiology at Columbia University Medical Center in New York.
Clinical Experience: Prof. Nikolsky formerly served as Associate Director of the Data Coordination and Analysis Center at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation in New York. She was also an Attending Cardiologist at Columbia University Medical Center in New York.
Research and Academic Activities: Prof. Nikolsky's main areas of research pertain to the role of anemia in patients with cardiovascular diseases, contrast-induced nephropathy, intermediate lesions, vascular closure devices to achieve hemostasis after percutaneous coronary interventions, and the impact of obesity on outcomes of patients undergoing percutaneous coronary interventions.
Professional Activity: As a member of the Israeli Heart Society and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Prof. Nikolsky has held faculty appointments at several international meetings, including Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics, EuroPCR, and The American College of Cardiology. She is also a former member of the Clinical Events Adjudication Committee for multicenter international trials including ACUITY, SIRIUS 4.0, FUTURE-2, and more.Publications in PubMed
