Prof. Yoram Kluger, Clinical Associate Professor
Specialization: Prof. Kluger serves as the Director of the Division of General Surgery and the Medical Director of the Pancreatic Surgery Service at Rambam Health Care Campus. He is also a clinical Associate Professor at the Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. Recently, Prof. Kluger was additionally appointed Chairman of the Department of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine.
His main focus areas are surgical oncology and trauma surgery.
Education: In 1980, Prof. Kluger received his MD from the Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School, Jerusalem. Afterward, he completed his general surgery residency at Hadassah Medical Center. He then pursued further training in surgery at the Allegheny Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
Clinical Experience: Prof. Kluger served as the founder and director of the Rabin Trauma Center at Tel Aviv Medical Center. He was notably the first to establish a dedicated and professional hospitalization center for patients with multiple injuries in Israel.
Research and Academic Activities: Prof. Kluger is on the board of the World Society of Emergency Surgery. He is also the Israeli delegate to the European Society for Emergency Surgery and Trauma.
